Let's Hear One Another
About
Most of us are waiting for our turn to talk. This site is about what happens if we stop waiting.
Let’s Hear One Another began with an ordinary observation. People who disagree about nearly everything can still sit on the same porch, share the same casserole and look after each other’s dogs. Somewhere along the way, a lot of us forgot how we do that.
We do not think everyone should agree. We think people should be able to disagree out loud, with their faces visible, and walk away with the relationship intact. That is a skill, like baking or parallel parking, and it can be practiced.
What you will find here
The Conversation is our collection of short practical essays about listening, asking better questions and keeping a hard talk from turning into a fight. Everything is written for ordinary life: kitchens, workplaces, sidelines and holiday tables.
Our shop carries a small range of shirts, mugs, coasters and notebooks with gentle reminders on them. We see them as invitations, not slogans.
Where we stand
We stand nowhere in particular, on purpose. This site takes no position on parties, candidates or policy, and it never will. We do not ask how you vote. If you read something here that seems to lean a certain way, tell us, as we want to fix it.
What we are not
We are not counselors or mediators. For conflicts that involve safety, or that need professional help, please go to someone qualified.
Who we are
Let’s Hear One Another is published by One Stop Enterprises, LLC, a small company in Springboro, Ohio. We would love to hear from you. It would be strange if we did not.
